The Land cruiser guys have a sticker that says "No Jeep". Why can't we all just get along??? We have a sticker that says: "Tidewater Fourwheelers", and we all DO get along. Another neat (and possibly unique) thing about our club. We belong because we like one another and enjoy the company, and what everyone is doing to their vehicle, whatever it is. I think those folks that are so brand conscious are missing out on something, you know? It's not just something that goes on the in land of fourwheeling... we've all see the decal of the little boy peeing on a Chevy logo, or a Ford logo. Anyway, I'm just glad I'm a member of THIS club. Seems to me that fourwheelers all need to stick together and work together, if we want to have places to go ride. I agree with you Joshua, it IS stupid, but you know, I had not even thought about the "It's a Jeep thing..." stickers. I'll bet my son Dan hasn't either. I've got to explain that to him. T4W sticker will look much better on his ride anyway!

Yea I started down this road looking for a TLC-40, really dig the 45, the land rovers (all the series), can close too on that, but in the end or beginning became a jeep owner. WOuld still like any of those vehicles, including the gargantuin H1 just because it says beast at stock not because it is 8 ft wide and can't wheel everywhere. my .02

Well, there are a few H1's down on Avon Extended Just because they are behind a fence that authorized personel only shouldn't stop you. And the national guard shouldn't mind if you borrow it. I'm still trying to work on that Scrambler up the road, for the winch if nothing else. Sad to see any off-road vehicle sitting there and being neglected. Maybe we should have a night rescue. HA!

Hey i know about the brand loyalty thing. I drive a Nissan 4x4 but I have owned a toyota, jeep, and a dodge. I am currently doing my part to save an old jeep. I am currently dumping money into an 86 xj. Hope to see you guys on the trail soon.

I hate the Toy vs Jeep banter. I like all kinds of 4X4's. I just happen to have an FJ40. I'm new to the area too. Saw this thread, and decided to start posting here. Here is a description of my rig. Like my title SOAFJ40, I'll give you one guess as to whea suspension I have on my rig. It is locked rear only, on 35's. Has a custom roof rack, rear bumper, and spare tire carrier. Sadly it currently has the ancient, tired and underpowered "F" engine in it. But, I have a Newer 2F in the bed of my Ram that'll go in it next weekend. I'd llike to join your club, and the Virginia Land Cruiser Assn. However, I work nights, and making meetings are next to impossible. I could really care less what kind of rigs I wheel with, but expect a sarcastic remark if I have to help a Jeep out. All in fun of course. BTW Is there anyone going to GSMTR 03'?

Hi Stumper and SAOFJ40, Glad you guys found us! Do come out for a club meeting if you get a chance. Stumper, I'm sure you'd find folks that might be able to help out with the XJ project, and SOAFJ40, lots of Yota folks in the club. I've not been to the Great Smokey Mountains Trail Run (Jeep TJ here), but it looks like a lot of fun. Hope to see you both on the trails, and Welcome! Lyle ps. I'd gladly take a strap out of a stuck from an FJ40... or give one.
