I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little about these steel street lock rims. I need to buy a new set of rims for my '97 Jeep Wrangler and was thinking about purchasing a set of these. I was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages of these steel rims were? And if the street lock rims would not be a good buy over the standard steel rim?

street locks are not bead locks, they just look like it. bead locks are illegal for on road use. personally i don't think it's worth the money. as far as i know all you get from the steet locks are a heavier lip at the bead.

So... Big J - you thinking about buying a set of bead locks seeing as how you run ... what, about 5 lbs at Paragon? :-) Danny got a big kick out of riding with you when you pushed them off the rims on the big rocks up there! It was definately cool watching the sidewalls flex, too! Of course, I was off on the sidelines watching (as ScramblerPat would say) "like a pup with my tail 'tween my legs" when you guys hit those boulders, and me with my little 2" lift! So... beadlocks on your Santa list?
