Hi All, I just moved to the area (Newport News) from Alaksa. I used to have a Jeep, but wife made me get rid of it(long story) so now I have a stock '99 Chevy Blazer. My question is I would like to go out and just do some tame trail rides, nothing to wild (stock Blazer), do you guys do much of this or do you know of places in the area to do this? Thanks for the help, Chris

Is there no one that is going to respond to this? I would appreciate any help. I'm thinking about joining the club. Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris, First, let me say Welcome to the board! Also, welcome to the Pennisula (from a guy who lives in Annapolis)! There are several club members who live over your way. Give them time to check in and I'm sure they'll respond. Our club has members scattered all over ... VA, MD, NC, as well as ships at sea. As to local wheeling opportunities, sadly, there aren't many that I know of in the immediate Hampton Roads area, however, we do meet and go places like the mountains of VA, Paragon in PA, Tellico, NC, summer trips to the Outer Banks, etc. You should come out to one of our meetings and meet the folks and see what the plans are. Also, check the calendar on the main club web site for currently planned events. In my opinion, you couldn't find a better group of folks, or a better club... which is why I'm a member in Maryland. Again, welcome, and join in the conversations! Lyle

hi, I live in Hampton. Drop me an Email sometime...Maybe we can toss something around and come up with something. I used to go to Rawley Springs, thats near Harrisonburg, VA. The drive is about 4-5 hrs away but great mountain scenery!
Good Luck,

Hi Chris, Where were you stationed in Alaska? Did you do a lot of wheelin' up there?
