the tire rack 686 for the 5 shipped. If i had waiting for then to restock delaware, it would have been $40 less on the shipping.

ANy reasone you chose that brand over any other or was that a deal in its self. OR do you run that brand on your VW Team KUMHO Tires

VERY cool, Eric! Let us know how they do up in Big Snow country? By the way, in picture #1, did you know the UPS man stepped on your tire!?

Hey Mister, Can I kick the tires? I think a while back one of the 4 wheel magazines did a test on the KUMHO tires and they said that they were a good tire.

OR do you run that brand on your VW Team KUMHO Tires Actually I have a set of Kumho DOT race tires and they are very good. Well, price was a factor. But think about it, BFGs are 3 ply, MTRs are a thick 2 ply, and these are a 6 ply. Plus, they are the spec tire for the CORR racing series. And to be different.

Well before you have them mounted could you compare their 6 ply to the swamper_ ply sidewall to compare thickness and toughness. Sounds like a new winner

6-ply, do you mean 4 ply tread and 2 ply sidewall? They are typically added up.

Definately thicker than a BFG. I installed them last night Here are the swampers I took off and the tires freshly mounted.

Time to put some wider axles underneath that thing... It looks kinda weird to be that tall, and have ALL that tire under the fender ;D

Anxious to hear how they do splashing through puddles on the road. I'm still itching to ditch these Pep Boys AT hyrdoplaning mothers and affordable tires like those make reaching that goal even easier.
