--------------------------------------------------------------------------Ok! well, after Ray and i Comp-cut and removed the front fenders last night, i decided to stop playing around and go all or go home. It started out with a top heavy good flexer and developed into an even balanced, nice breakover angle flexer
Heres a small progression write up...
Started off last night by Trimming the body
First thing done today was i purchased some tighter fitting o-ring/drive belts which increased the torque and power of the jeep EXTREMELY WELL! i was pulling small wheelies.
Today is when i added the BB's to the tires ( about 1125 each to be exact) which allowed it to flex harder to the bump stops with the added weight keeping it dirty side down.
Moving on i decided to do a belly up. TEDIOUS WORK!!
First i cut the very low hanging belly of the jeep. took about 3.5" off.
Next was to fill the GAPING hole on the bottom so i bought some 22 gauge sheet metal and went to town.
Next, i had to affix the belly pan and relocate all of the circuit boards and the battery since they could no longer go to the former depths of the bottomless belly on the jeep
After that, i had to trim the body itself to clearance the battery that suck up about 1.5" higher than the lowest part of the body.
After i finished that, I made a battery retainer/stabilizer out of some strong wire
Then, i decided to drill into my finger while making a hole to affix the switch into the side of the jeep's chassis
MOVING ON...
This is what it looks like now with the body and everything trimmed.
And a comparison flex pic from the first one..
BEFORE....
AFTER......
There we go.
Total costs were around 10 bux for everything and about 8 hours of work.
i tested it out and its a TOTALLY different vehicle! its so awesome now.
Hope you liked the write up!
