Started Framing last weekend and hope to get done with the roof and doors this weekend, before it gets cold again. If anyone wants to help out in Virginia Beach this weekend, let me know. Donny

Wow! That shed is so big, it won't fit on my computer screen.

Just resized it so it fits better. Sorry, it's the first picture I've posted.

Depends on what comes up for me for the rest of the weekend. I plan on being at Trashmore in the morning... whereabouts in VB are you?

Here is the latest update. I finished the roof and need to start on the doors and cutting in the window openings. Need some good weather for painting the trim before it goes up.

my dad and I are going to do something quite similar to that...
i like the over hanging eaves on that one side... enjoy the weather while working on the rig, in the nice soft grass!!
If ya work in the grass, I recommend one of those big honkin magnets that can attach to a car bumper, to pick up any bolts or nuts or screws or nails (oh my!) that happen to fall.

Windows are now in, soffits are done, trim is done, caulked, and painted. The Vinyl siding is going up as we speak. I've got 3 of the four walls done and need to fill in the doors then it's done! Donny

Final inspection is scheduled for tomorrow, final pictures to be taken and posted soon. Only 3 months start to finish, not bad for working on my own and with a few volunteers on a couple of weekends.

That's pretty sweet. Glad to hear it's done! On another note.... I wonder how many people would be willing to help build a garage.... I'm thinking after we close the deal on the house, I'd like to build a detached garage on one side of the house. With the area available, it'd be around 2 cars deep by 2 cars wide. Then, I can start slowly outfitting it to work on my junk... sorry, wasn't trying to threadjack, just thinking aloud again

I passed the final inspection, nothing to do now but move in. Sometime this summer I'll run electricity out there and put up some lights, but for now I can move out of my storage unit and save $160 a month.
Donny
P.S. No, I'm not for hire. But i'd be happy to share my lessons learned, review your plans, and help out when time allows.

I may take you up on that, especially if you know where to get wire cheap. I figure I'll need three runs about 130'.
