Me being the cheap skate that I am finally bought something to turn into a wheelin machine. Its a 78 Ramcharger. Heres the specs on her best i can figure it.
Orig. 440 with auto tranny and 203 tcase
holley 600-750 dual feed, single pump but i cant identify it because i think its old school. Instead of the ends of the carbs coming off to get to the metering blocks it seperates along the top into 2 pieces vs. the bowls seperating off the sides. Anyone know?
Right now it is stock so it works as fulltime 4wd. I mainly got it to use in the sand pits here in ecity and maybe a beach buggy. Got some work to do thats for sure but the rest isnt that bad. Heres some of the other great options i got on her.
Headers, 5-35-14.50x15 mickey thompson, 4:11 gears front and rear, dana 44 front not sure about rear. Has a 4 or 6 inch lift with double shocks in all corners. Has rollbar in the back. Has edelbrock single plane intake. Looks like new ignition maybe electronic i need to look closer, has a new accel coil, and 15x10 american racing alumn, wheels. Also has mopar performance alumn. finned valve covers. Picked it up for 500 bucks. Deal? I have allready been out burning up the street infront of the house. It is either low on tranny fluid and has a dirty filter, or has a stall converter in it. Not sure but when it locks up, It locks about 3 out of the 4 tires up hard. Im not liking the intake and carb setup because it has 2 speeds. Idle and Balls to the wall. I think a nice edelbrock 750 carb would do nicely. I cant wait to get the top off of this thing. Hope to get some pics soon.
