Finally after several months of blood sweat and tears I was able to start Ol' Red today!!! ;D  ;D I got the cam broke in and now I need to change the oil, figure a better way to run the intake, clean up the wiring, reassemble the dash and do a full engine break in. Also replace the gas tank. But IT's RUNNING... YEAH BABY!!! Paul G. |

Got all the wiring tied up and the dash back together and wires in the engine compartment cleaned up. Just halfto fine tune the timing to get rid of the idle lope a little and finish some bracketry for the BII airbox I'm installing. Hopefully by the end of the week it will be able to travel on the road again... Then next week I start with new seats, Herculiner floor, and repairing some rust holes in the floorboard. Also have a new clutch on the way and am going to be pulling the bed off... Lot to do but it's coming along pretty quickly now.

Sweet. I thought you put a performance cam, etc. in... it's going to have a little lope, if so. A BII airbox?? Need more parts for that? ;D I still have to remove the rest of the stock airbox inlet and make a custom box / heat shield and ram air tube... as well as port match my upper and lower intake plenums until I get ready to rebuild the engine. Glad to hear things are coming along on Ol' Red... been a while since she's been on the road and I know you can't wait to get 'er back on the road!

If I can make it. We have a det leaving during that time frame. There's 2 possible dates. One is over that weekend and the other is just after that weekend. I'm going to try but I might miss this years Annual. But next year I should be back just in time to take leave and be on my pom period when the Annual goes down.
If I have enough of it together and have my trailer back and the Suburban up to par I'm going to try and make the next Crozet weekend to play with the new engine.
