Okay, got a decent deal off Ebay on a Superwinch EPi9000 winch. Good winch, great reputation, good cost compared to all the other stuff out there, and probably the lowest amp draw of any. I got it from a guy in Florida that had about 3 pulls on it and then sold the vehicle that it was on. Traded a guy on Rubicon owners Forum for a Toys by Troy TJ winch plate for the other ARB diff cover I wasn't able to use, Very nice plate! The one thing that was an issue with the winch was that he had kinked the cable and it needed to be replaced. So anyway he shipped it via DHL, got the box, (Very Heavy!) and unpacked it. It was wrapped in a bunch of plastic, clear packing tape, and,...padded with one of those full length body pillows! In the box I got the winch, roller fairlead, and the new replacement cable.
Pulled out of the box this is what I had:

The power cable side of the selenoid was completly broke and in the second picture you can see a hairline fracture of the other cover...Well took some quick pictures, sent it to the seller, they apologized profusely and agreed to file a claim. Instead I told them to just send me enough to cover the replacement parts for both sides. I had looked it up already on Superwinch's web site and it was only $18.00 for each side. Anyways, long story short, ordered the replacement parts and installed them.
Here are some pics of the cable on the winch and after I un-rolled it...
Pulled the old battery, cleaned up the tray, installed new battery:
Putting the winch on the Jeep:
Thats about it...I went out and found a nice open parking lot, put a strap around the bottom of a light pole, strung out the new cable, and wound the new cable onto the winch. Winch worked perfectly, no issues!!! ;D
