Pciked this up last week and will try and get it installed soon and give everyone a good run-down on it, hope it is good to go! Here we go!: Wiring harness...whatever could it be for? ?? #4 AWG copper cable...Hmmmmm? Gounding clamp, Stinger, hand throttle.... ?? Allright you've probably guessed it by now...Underhood Welder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is the control unit in my hand for a size compairison. Unit is all solid state circuitry, powered by whatever size alternator you have or you can install a rewound or one of the high priced aftermarket jobs. With stock Rubi alternator I will have to stick with 3/32" electrodes till I can get a higher amperage alternator...Once I get it installed and brush up on my bead laying skills I'll post up my impressions...good or bad! ;D Later, Will

Will, you'll never need anything bigger than 3/32" rod. If you want to practice, come burn up some of my 3/32" if you like. I'm mostly using my mig now. ;D

Cool, you have any scrap pieces laying around I can pracite some beads on? Yeah I debated getting a Mig as well as I could have bought the 140a Hobart for a little bit more, but this was a good deal plus it goes wherever the Jeep does! It will have provisions for a Mig gun as well and already has a TIG kit for a little over $200...
