Interesting thread about a land use issue

It's on Pirate4x4, not always the friendliest bunch of folks over there ;D but this did catch my attention. I think I'll participate, anyone else? It's long story, but it's about the Hammer Trails in Johnson Valley. I've heard of it, but don't know much about the area. A nearby Marine base possibly wants to annex a great portion of the area for an expansion. That's more land being taken away from the wheeling community.

I just found out over the weekend my tenant is a moderator for pirate4x4.com. He's on sea duty in the Navy so he doesn't have much time but I'm trying to get him to a club meeting. He recently scored the new JK Rugged Ridge modular bumper ( www.quadratec.com/showcases/rugged_ridge/modular_bumper/default.php ) and expects to have a review posted sometime in the next few weeks on the site.
