Has anyone here replaced the keg intake on their ZJ here? I am wondering if going with a single plane intake would fix some of what I have going on, between burning oil running rough and if I get something extra out of the fix, even better. I started looking for M1 style intake manifolds for my '96 ZJ. Just saying fuel injection M1 gives a bunch of part numbers of stock Mopar intakes. One problem I am having is making sure I am not overspending on details that I don't need. P5007398AB lists for more than I expected at about $650, but is a high rise style. P5007852 is another high rise for $580 and there is a non high rise style about $350 part #P5007790. Does anyone have any experience with any of these? Thanks

Not sure what your intake has to do with burning oil, only way I've known that burning oil happens is bad rings or bad valve stem seals/guides. I'm at a loss..... Dave G

The Jeep and Dodge 5.2 and 5.9 have a keg style intake manifold. It is made up of two parts. There is a plenum pan on the bottom side of the manifold. The gasket between these parts is what separates intake from the push rod valley. My boss had changed his, but he only did that to increase power. He said it worked out well when he changed his intake at 70K miles as the seal was already blown in six places. He didn't remember what part number he purchased.
