I picked up a D30 out of an 00GC, it needs to be rebuilt. Was wondering if there was any real use for it or should I just junk it. It has the CV axles and no disconnect for the PS axle. I have already installed the LCA's into my 89 XJ. Ken

No just have the diff and knuckles, no rotors or calipers. What about the cv axle shafts. Are these any better than the U-joint shafts?

The knuckles are the hard part to get when doing the brake upgrade. They also provide for solid crossover steering on a TJ. When I did it i had to order the knuckles from a junk yard on-line for $30 each plus $40 for shipping. Ususally get new calipers and rotors anyway, that's what I did. My TJ stops much better now, even with 35's.
The CV Shafts are slightly weaker than u-joint shafts, but smoother and quieter for daily drivers.
