No more work done, but there's a bunch of bearings that will need pressed on and off. I've needed a shop press for many years, even before I started fourwheeling. I've just done without and either paid a shop or found a friend to press what I needed. So Harbor Freight had a sale and I had a coupon and ended up with one of these. So I'm about to see what stuff I can really mess up now. Gotta have the bearing separators to go with it.

An interesting tidbit of information for some of you that keep score in this area, I picked this up in April 2010. Which means I've had it over a year now! Could this be the one?

Went to Eddie's shop yesterday to pick up some scrap and a few gussets. I oohh'd and ahhh'd over his butterflies and flowers he's making. I also succeeded in talking to him for a while and preventing any real work from being done. (Yeah those are cut out to pop off bottle caps) Switched gears a little tonight, and decided to work on the t-case skid that I mashed a while back at Crozet, or Harlan, or somewhere; I forget. So I took some of the 1/8" scrap I had and skinned the tube that was kinked from rocks. I have no idea if what I did is helpful or not, but that area seemed to hit rocks a lot so I felt the need to do something. Think this will help prevent it from getting worse? (I was not finished welding yet)

What color are you going to paint it? Here is my vote... Fire truck reflective tape!

Looks god. The least you could have done is touched up the rollers with that black paint.

I was trying to figure out who painted the rollers black to begin with.

They were prepainted when I got them.
Maybe they would look better painted like barber poles?

Another tidbit I just realized... you've also had the same tires on it for over a year now, too, Keith! Maybe that's why the weather is so crazy this year... But on the serious side, it's definitely taking shape and looking good! Trying to get some things done to my junk this year.... if all goes well Dave G
