Planning on mid-to-late June on flying to Norfolk and picking up a moving truck / car transport to unload my storage in VB and head to NC to pick up my '89 B2. Looking for help with loading the heavy stuff (Early Bronco axles), mainly - not planning on selling the parts at this time. Food and beverage provisions are a definite option after I'm loaded up and ready to hit the road. Would also be great if someone can give me a lift from the airport to pick up the equipment or loan me a ride. Post up or PM me. I will post up a more definite timeline when I get things nailed down. Thanks!

Well, I think I've decided that this trip is going to be a two-way drive. Going to try and re-check my uncle's trailer out before this weekend and possibly head out this weekend. After looking at plane ticket, rental feels, approximate gas cost and otherwise, It'll be cheaper just to drive both ways, and I think between the bed of the Chevy, the open space on the trailer, and the interior of the '89, I can fit everything from my storage without a problem. I'll have my tools with me just in case I run into any problems, but I don't foresee any. I will post up with a more definite schedule as things progress.

Okay, so this past weekend wasn't happening. Also, had to check with the guy in NC on when he'd be available for me to come pick up the '89. So, planning on being in NC on Monday sometime and Hampton Roads either later Monday or early Tuesday next week. I will post up a meet time at the storage unit - and if it doesn't jive with your day's schedule, let me know when you can be there and we'll figure something out. The hardest part of it is going to be lifting the Early Bronco axles out and putting them on the trailer. The rest of it is pretty easy stuff after I figure out what is going where, etc. I'll update this just before I leave here headed East and update as best I can.

Going to be hitting the road in the next hour or two. Figured I would anticipate anything that might come up - traffic, etc. Cory - I still have your number unless it's changed. Josh - saved your number to my phone. I will try and get a hotel with free or pay-per-use wi-fi access to let y'all know what's up. Worst case is I can use the guy in NC's computer while I'm there.

That works, Cory. I won't be there until Tuesday - well, as far as doing anything at the storage unit. I'm in Augusta, GA right now, about to check out of the hotel. I'll post up when I get to VA if I can find a hotel with free / pay-per-use wi-fi.

Well, I'm here, in VB at the hotel. Got in about an hour or so ago. I'm worn out. I'll catch some sleep and give y'all a shout.

Well, thanks to some expert help from Josh and Cory, got everything loaded and ready to head out. I was just finishing up tying down a tarp to the truck bed when the rain decided to visit me, but got it done. Unfortunately, the office was already closed, so I have to go back @ 9:30AM to close things out. Will keep y'all updated on my progress home - my next stop is to visit a guy down in SC from another forum I am on and then from there, it'll be getting out of hill country back down to flatland country and then the trek West. Thanks again, guys, I 'preciate it.

Well, made it back to Raleigh-Durham area, NC for a layover and was able to lighten the load a little. Left there this morning and made it to my stop in SC in one piece. I just know now that if I am towing anything, I will avoid I-85 like the plague. Am currently laying over at a hotel in Anderson, SC and hope to be on the road again in the morning and hopefully out of hill country by the next stop.

Got on the road, made it to Meridian, MS in one piece, stayed the night there, and got back on the road and pulled into my destination around 4pm local. No issues, no tire blowouts, nothing. All in all, an uneventful trip. Thanks again Cory and Josh!
