Well I was watching another new project JK video on You Tube and saw another possible location for the CB. One of the guys had it mounted in the passenger overhead. I thought that be a good idea plus he had his mic on a retractable lanyard hanging with in arms reach. The only down fall I saw with mounting it here is when the top is off. I have a few other locations in mind. Anyone have a CB mounted in there JK and happy with the location. Thanks for any input. Uriah

I tried the lanyard idea and on the street it is great, but on the trail someone will get a concussion.

I mounted mine to the side of the center councel. I used one of the factory screws and meant to make a bracket like they sell in quadratec but never did. with just the one screw it fits snug and has not really moved. I used a 2 wire trailer plug from NAPA (I think) for power and ground incase I need to pull it out for any reason. Got the power from the ignition on plug in the councel. Right there at you finger tips, and the wires tuck neatly under the carpet. When on the trail I just put the mike in the cup holder.
