Hey everybody. I'm Nick. I've been stationed in Norfolk since July of last year, but was just turned on to the site/club by a very helpful guy out at the Oceana base hobby shop. I grew up wheeling almost exclusively in the snow, and doing a little rock crawling, at home in Oregon. I've never had a decent enough pile of parts to call it a vehicle so I'm really just an experienced co-driver. My XJ is a 1996 with a lot of motor life left on the 4.0 I6, and an AW4 in great shape. I haven't gotten into my xfer case enough to know how she's doing, but iMve got no complaints so far! I've got a rusty's 3" lift with full front and rear springs, and the rest is stock all over. Currently running firestone destination ATs on TJ alloys until I can put some new (bigger) MTs underneath. In the next few months I'm planning a ZJ rear disc swap, SY, shackles & spacers, and some 33's with a little fender trimming. Only gripes I have about the jeep is a pesky case of death wobble that I'm troubleshooting one part at a time. Look forward to meeting everyone, and if anyone knows a good junkyard around here lemme know!
