I'm going to offer a couple suggestions to try if you all want to consider them before spending money on a new forum. There are too many sub forums. We have a General, Off Topic, and Introduction. Just make one sub forum for those. We have a United and VA4WDA that haven't been posted in for over a year. At least combine them if you don't want to get rid of em. Create new sub forums that will get people posting. How about a Craigslist Finds? And copying other websites and have a "what I did to my 4WD today", etc. Streamline and renew the layout and see if that works.

All valid points! Is there anyway to make posting pictures easier?

that would be nice, on fsb we have to either post alink to your photo bucket account or copy and paste and that doesnt always work

These are all very good suggestions. Keep them coming! The Board will be discussing this topic in detail over the next week and will hopefully have a plan in place shortly there after.

These are all very good suggestions. Keep them coming! Ok, posting pictures seems to be a valid concern. While it is nice to be able to upload pictures to a vBulletin style website, it is just as easy to upload your pictures to Photobucket and post the HTML code in your postings. It is extremely rare photobucket goes down. They will also host your video. It would be very easy to post a huge sticky thread, or even a dedicated sub-forum, on how to post pictures via Photobucket. Once you do it once, it is super easy. I would even volunteer to post up the step by step tutorial, with pics, and moderate that sub forum for anyone who is having a hard time. I still think we can make this free forum more user friendly just by simple things like this and updated subforums, and hopefully draw in some more activity. What would happen if we made the background orange and the writing blue? ;D

I have been looking at vBulletin and it seems to be pretty popular and flexible with a lot of bells and whistles. I would not be against first working with the site we have. From the standpoint of posting photos, a tutorial would be great.
