Plan is to head out to Blacksburg late afternoon Sunday Sept 9 and wheel Potts Mountain on the 10th. Then play around the rest of the week wherever looks good until the Trail Ride.

Wow. Why don't you skip this and go with me and Adam to the MV event the week before?

I can't get the week before off. That event doesn't really interest me anyway. I'm spending the week of the annual in that area.

WHy do you need a PTO to trail ride?
On Tuesday the plan is to wheel Shoe Creek. It is scenic, and I said I was tired of it, but it's in the area and will give me something to do. I'm going to start at the top side, and turn around at the bottom and come back up. Two reasons, the bottom exit is private property and I'm going to hike Crabtree Falls when I get back to the top and get some exercise.
Maybe even walk a mile or so on the Appalacian Trail to The Priest.
Wednesday is TBD, but I'll be back in Arrington.

I have a few photos from Potts, interestingly none are wheeling photos. There's some great views from this mountain top. I was surprised and impressed by the number of challenges on the trail. I didn't expect any, and we found several difficult obstacles. The trail is well marked. There is a huge difference between the relationships that GWNF and the Jefferson NF has with OHV groups. The Jefferson is much more friendly and involved. My photobucket stuff isn't showing up well here lately from anything I upload from my mobile phone, so you'll have to view the whole album. s47.photobucket.com/albums/f193/kfromme/2012%20Annual%20Trail%20Ride/?start=all
