Loaded with gear, Jeep, and trailer....13 MPG. Not bad for 75 MPH. I got 8-9 in the half-ton.

Man, I don't feel too bad about my 12-13 mpg in the Exploder then. Having to keep the OD off means it had enough power, but it sure starts sucking the gas down. But I also was only going 65, not 75mph, and up the steep grades I was down to about 55.

I hit the scales this afternoon with just the truck, no trailer. 8100. That is pushing about 13,600. Still not to bad on the MPG.

Tom, it could be worse... you could be somewhere like Spokane, WA where it's been averaging in the teens and 20s with negative wind chill numbers! ;D Last Thanksgiving when Andrea and I were there, it got down to 18ish with negative wind chill numbers. Had to go out all bundled up, start up the beater and put the heater on full on hot, fan on high, go back inside and thaw out and let it run for 20-30 minutes and still had to scrape off some frost On another note, most of you who drive oil-burners for tow rigs should consider truly tuning your rigs and maybe investing in some aftermarket stuff. I know my buddy Don's F350 Super Duty... he pretty much tuned his stuff and upped the regulated fuel pressure and did a whole lotta aftermarket stuff and whatnot and was getting 18 to as high as 22 unloaded and around 18 at the highest loaded, if I remember right. Most off-the-floor diesels are tuned down, or so it seems. Just my $0.02 ;D
