I was looking at putting a trip together going to Ivy Branch in the next month or so. Anyone intrested? I am. A few of us have been talking about a trip in Jan or Feb but no definite plans have been set. What is Ivy Branch? I believe Boucher will be somewhere near GWNF the weekend of Feb 22 but that weekend is out for me.

Ivy Branch is the newest part of the Hatfield Mccoy trail system. It is the first to allow all OHV's inculding 4X4's. It has only been open for 6 months. The trails seem to be good. RVA went there a few weeks ago and said it was a blast. Anyways I had hear talk about a gw trip as well but that is talk at this point I have not heard a date. Due to my new career my wheelin trips will most likely come to an end around memorial day. So I have to get my trips in early. As of now Jeff Bell is intrested in going. The plan is to get a date set by the end of the week. Earliest date could be the last full weekend in January. I am just tring to feed my 4wheelin adddiction. By the way Keith you do realize that the Blower on Mad Max's Black on Black intercepror is fake.

I'd like to go to Ivy Branch, but January is too soon/too cold. Way to burst Keith's bubble. Next, you're going to say that the stuff in my avatar couldn't really happen either.

I'm aware it's fake. I think quite a few years ago we had a discussion on here about how interesting it would be if someone could rig up an electric clutch on a blower. Chris I do stuff like what's in your avatar all the time. cheezburger.com/7786500864Anyway, it sounds like Ivy Branch might have to be in the future for me sometime in May or after; or even way later in the year. We can start another topic for GWNF.

Keith Deep Breaths.....In throught the nose out through the mouth. Thought I would at lease get credit for calling his car Black on Black. Also only half the side pipes accually work as well. As for the clutch engaged Super charger I beat you there by about 12 years. My dad and I build a 190E 2.3L16 Mercedes race car. We put on a roots style supercharger with a electric clutch. Everything was custom. Had an extra throttle body to bypass the supercharger when it was not active. Oh and when i said race car i was not referencing drag racing. It was set up for road course and auto cross. All though it only had a 4 cylinder that engine was designed for the european racing circuit and we put 5 psi of boost on top of it. That car was beyond fast. 5.0 Mustangs could not hang with that car. Keith Deep Breaths.....In throught the nose out through the mouth.

Jim, what would your plan be for this trip? What I mean is about how many days were you thinking of being gone and how many wheeling days? For those of us that haven't read all about this place, what are the accommodations and what do you think would be a good idea?
It's only 2 or 3 hours farther than Harrisonburg, maybe I should reconsider if the timing is right.

The lone Wheeler rides again. As of right now I am the only person going. I plan to drive the toy as well. Thea date is set for January 24 leaving about noon time. Moteling it that night in charleston WV. Wheelin Jan 25 and possibly the half a day on the 26. Getting home late on sunday. It is about 7-8 hour drive. information on the area in sparse at best. There are some cabins and 1 camp ground within a few miles of the trail head. So depending I may find a place to stay close to the trail saturday night. Since this place has not been open long (6 months) there is not much information on it. I plan to scope the place out. I have to admit that I am very excited to go some place new.
