Amsteel winch rope group buy?

I need to replace the rope on my crawler and want to swap the steel cable on my 4runner for synthetic.  I'm considering ordering a spool and making my own 3/8 winch lines.  3/8 is good to 19k lbs. it works  out to about $2 a foot without hardware.  Hardware is maybe $20 per line.
