Here's an interesting read from ford-trucks.com: www.ford-trucks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=302981It's in the tech section, and seems to cover all the problems people have been having. Hopefully, whatever the issue is, it gets resolved soon so you can trade that Power-choke in on a real diesel ;D

Tommorrow will be two weeks at the dealership. They installed the new wiring harness and PCM, that still didn't fix it, so they pulled the wiring harness again and re-re-installed it, and it's still not fixed. I have a feeling they can't figure out what's going on with it. Maybe Ford will buy it back just so I will leave them alone

At this point I wouldn't accept it back until after an extensive test drive. also for future notice the virginia lemon law reads that 3 times in a 3 month time frame for the same problem or 30 days in the shop it is considered a lemon. In another week and 1/2 I'd call a lemon law lawyer and see if he can do a consultation with you to see if you need to hire a lawyer or if this is a cut and dry case that you can handle. As far as I can see it's been in the shop 8 or 9 times for the same problem it should be covered under any lemon law in country including alaska and hawaii.

The service manager guy at the dealership called his Corporate Ford rep today (and I've called them twice to complain about the truck not getting fixed) and she is supposed to call me by friday about what Ford intends to do about this truck. Evidently they have had their most senior mechanic working on it for two full days now and they still can't get it fixed. Guess we will see what Ford intends to do. I'm definately pushing for them to buy it back at this point. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Update: Picked the 250 up tonight and before I even got home the check engine light was on again. Giving me the same code P132B which is MAF, PCM, misfire, or turbo intake/exhaust leaks. Also looks like a 3 year old replaced the wiring harness, electrical tape every where, missing nuts and washers, very ghetto. The Ford Rep is suppossed to still call me tomorrow. I hope she's ready for an earfull.... Well the last chapter in this is the Ford Reps NEVER contacted me. I called the Service manager guy twice and he never returned any of my phone calls....So I traded the 250 in on a new 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 with the Cummins diesel. While I think the 250 is a better looking truck after driving them both IMHO the CTD wins hands down over the 6.0L in driveabliity. The CTD has way more power, winds out smoother and quicker and sounds a thousand times better than the pingy loudness of the PSD. Having driven that PSD around for a year it was like night and day driving the Dodge. The PSD is a total dog all the way around compared to the cummins. I'm thinking it was a great move to get rid of the 250 more every time I drive the dodge.

Well I'm glad to see you got something that is working for you! Hope you didn't lose too much on the trade in vs. having Ford buy it back. I probably would have done the same thing though, I don't know if I would have waiting as long as you did. I'm trying to talk the wife into a CTD, but she says she won't drive a truck everyday. And I can't justify that $ as a 2nd vehicle that will rarely get driven.
