I'm surprised it isn't a triple axle setup. I believe what we did with the 40-foot gooseneck that my uncle bought at one time was just go and pick up enough 2x6 treated lumber to re-plank the entire deck. I'm not sure if yours was originally planked forward end to aft end lengthwise or across. Might help to weld in some angle irons lengthwise for extra support and then re-plank it side-to-side. I'm guessing that it's sound mechanically and electrically otherwise? Also, you could always add a third axle, etc.

i don't want to add a 3rd axle due to the chance of traveling toll roads. this use to be a 5th wheel camper so i know i need to add some gussets in the neck of the trailer, also thinking about adding a torque tube to eliminate some of the twist down the frame.

Looks like you might want a little extra height on the neck of that hing while it is all bare. Wont take to much to eat up the bed of the truck once you get the big dodge on there.

I agree with Tony, I don't think the weight of what was a 5th wheel camper trailer would be equal to what the Power Wagon weighs, so you may end up having some clearance issues. I would consider re-doing the hitch neck altogether (like a regular gooseneck setup), unless you were planning on using the flat area of that one for tool / storage box mounting... although, the one area at the front just aft of the neck looks like it was for storage / propane tanks / etc.

thinking of putting a popup on the neck of it. but yes i am going to brace/reinforce where it needs it.

Hmmm, you said 37 feet.. Is that ball to tail? I know my 30 ft is 39 from ball to end of fold up ramps. Will you carry one or two rigs? Anyway, regarding the axles, what rating are they. I'm thinking if it was a camper, they may only be 5000 lbs. Also, if you're towing heavy, I'd recommend both axles have brakes, many campers don't.
Just some thoughts. Fran

both axles have brakes and i should not be over 10,000lbs on what i intend to haul. as far as clearence at the truck the height can be adjusted on the hitch and on the trailer and i do plan on raising it a notch. for what i paid for it even if i have to add some extensive bracing i will still come out way cheaper then buying new.

look what i picked up today for $180!! 10 pcs 5" angel 1/4 thick, 21 2x10x10 pressure treated boards. that is enough lumber to deck the trailer and enough steel to reinforce anything i need to with enough left over for future projects
