All three of them have been introduced and initiated to the "pucker factor club". After the first day, they seemed more callous to what to expect. They girls (minus Karla) and just hilarious that way. Like the world is coming to an end... ;D I'd say Sunday they all did a lot better knowing what to expect while on the trails. Karla certainly knew when to leave the jeep and take pics instead. Taylor on the other hand prefered the front seat ride (thrill seeker). Dave - even the maiden voyage for the XJ couldn't keep the bings and bangs away. I thought you took some on the drivers side during the last bit of the hill climb?

introduced and initiated to the "pucker factor club". Debbie, what did the young man who crawled into your passenger front seat think of the off-camber rock on the waterfall trail? I know I teased him that he'd be close enough to kiss the rock or ground when you guys got in there. I forgot to ask him when you got through.

Sticks, I took a hit to the passenger side rear door on the dead end hill climb, you have to look at it just right as the plastic molding kinda hides it. Therefore it's not a "real" dent?! The plastic absorbed most of the blow I guess. Everything lined up pretty good. A couple inches higher or lower and things would have been different!

yup...either way, it went up the hill, right? Kinda thinkin' I should have tried that hill. What would I have lost? Exhaust was already broken. . . and it would have been nice to have been able to get an open/open up there Andy

I took the door hit on the dead end hill, not the rocky hill by the house. You tried the dead end hill...

Fran, the little guy had a birds eye view of the TJ's glove box handle, he also had enough height to peer over the passenger door...Karin, understanding gal that she is, handed him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich two seconds before we began our precarious decent. I marveled at this and wondered what had happened to my motherly instincts...he ate peanut butter while I attepted to save our lives...

And that sandwich got eaten like nothing exciting was happening. I was about the only thing you could see through the passengers window. Bite, chew, swallow. Bite, chew, swallow. Sandwich didn't last long. About as long as the decent. . .

Think of it as the ultimate trust in Mom. He's thinking, "I'll just have this peanut butter sandwich while you hang the family over this rock and trust that bunch of funny guys at the end of the strap to hold us. Sure Mom, all in a days adventure, thanks. Now, when can we do this again??!!"

The little guy was my son Jason, maybe he's ridden with me enough to consider that just a simple obstacle. So what if it's a tipsy drop off,,, a man's gotta eat!!

Ok, that explains more. Sorry I got the boys mixed up. I didn't track who came with who, but it was sure nice to see, and hear, kids having a good time on a wheeling trip.

Despite some of the high-pitched noise emnating from my rig, the kids had a blast and can't wait to go again (and come back to Crozet).

Do you guys remember who wanted to volunteer for the VROC comp? I am sorry, but I forgot the names, and I don't have their e-mail addresses either.
Thanks! Chris
