I personally had a blast. I was int the same group as Eddie and Scott. Friday was a lil slow, mostly cause we had to wait at CJ5 hill cause some one broke a U-joint... If thgey would have communicated with our group, I had plenty of spares, and tools with me to change u-joints. We changed one out on Saturday morning as we were waiting for the drivers meeting.
As for the porta potties.. they were pretty foul by Sat.. more cleaning is the answer.
I know our grouip from MPJAI had 7 or 8 tow rigs which ate up lots of camping space, I can almost perdict.. next yr there will be more tow rigs, every yr it seems rigs get bigger, and ppl buy tow rigs and trailers.
My only real breakage was a busted sidewall, and 2 shcok mounts... which is minor breakage for me.
I also made upper 3... they said it was my long wheel base that got me up it. I say it was right foot.
I had a blast and woulod like to thank you all for putting on a great event. I look forward to going next yr.
Patrick

Maybe next year....each group can have a sign up sheet that the trail leader has, and we all sign in with our names, email addresses, and type of vehicle on a voluntary basis....then....after the fact, the trail leader can group email everyone with the information, so we can get some pictures of our junk on the trail.
I know that a couple of ppl in my group (other than Cory) had some photos of my Jeep, but I have no clue who they were or what club affiliation they had.
It's a shame !!

Michele, good idea, but way to much work for your guides...plus we didn't know what trail or group we had till Thursday night. The organizers have enough to do to put the show on...adding pre-selected trail groups would add another huge burden.
A couple of years ago I started carrying "buisness cards" that I had made up on my computer. Has my name, my wifes name, my phone number, our email addresses and a black and white poser shot of my Jeep. I hand them out to everyone in my group if I can, but make sure I give one to anyone who I catch taking a picture of our Jeep. I forgot to make some up for Annual this year, so I was only able to hand out the three dirty and mangled ones that were in the floor board of the Jeep. Just walking up and down the line of rigs at the staging area and making sure you talk to each and every rig, handing them a card and saying "I'm the black Rubi, take lots of pictures of me, here is my address, please send them to me..." will get you lots of shots...

True..it is a bit of trouble...or maybe we can just do this on our own...someone in the line (I know I'll do it anyway) just have everyone sign up after lunch or whatever.
The card thing is a great idea. I think I'll do that too!
I like to take pictures of other's junk...and I hate it when I can't get it to them b/c I have no clue who they are!!
Thanks for your input!

Pat and I had a great time attending our first ride with y'all. While it was a long ride from SC it was worth every hour round trip. I want to thank all the good folks that put this together too, we simply had a blast.
On a different note and sad to say, we have lost one of the riders to cancer. Your efforts were a joy to him. This was his last Jeepin trail ride and I could see the pleasure in his eyes each time I spoke with Fred. I personally didn't know Fred before this trip. We met there and became friends, as we do.
The real friends that brough "Nelli Bell" to this ride was Mike with the "Bronze Pig." I count them as special friends too now.
Why, you may ask, am I telling you this? I think it helps to fortify the effort you all put into this trail ride.
Not many folks will return to the manager of a restaurant to tell them of the good service they receive but, let something go wrong and there's hell to pay!
Thanks again, Pat and I look forward to another year riding with you at least once anyway.
