Buying an IFS yota and not putting a cab on the '84. But the '85 should be done for the annual.

I regret the rust on my TJ's front fenders that came as a result of playing on the snow covered Michigan roads for 5 years, does that count?
Wasn't a big fan of the cam adjusters on the rear axle after my first lift. They didn't help much anyway.
I regret the lazy sloppy wiring that was done by "Professionals" when I had the alarm installed when the TJ was new. I regret the lazy sloppy wiring that I did when the truck was new and I installed fog lights, CB, and such. Just spent some time "cleaning up" under the dash so hopefully these won't be an issue down the road.

Thinking I could make lots more power and torque on a 2.5 liter 4 banger by adding Banks exhaust, CAI, 4.0 TB, Mustang injectors, etc. I just made it noisy and raised the torque and HP peaks to higher RPMs - not good for low end torque! For what I paid, I could have regeared to 4.88s, which would have helped on and off road.

And here I expected to see you 'say', "Installing a 3" body lift after being advised not to by all the sage 'wheelers from T4W" followed by, "not fixing my Jeep as things broke so I'd get to drive it more often and 'wheel it", Josh ;D Sorry, man, I gotta poke at ya a little - no offense! Dave G

OHHHH yea i deffinitly would have to put the 3" bl on the never again list. Thanks fer the reminder. And yea not just levin it on 31 or 33 would have been a good idea (i think jack tried to tell me that more than once) but i like changin stuff and cant leave well enough alone. but for now she's gonna be done for a good long time.

I hear ya... I'm just going to do the basic stuff on the beater '87 until something breaks... unless I decide to put an actual lift on it and put a little bit into it. Depending on what's under the '89 I still gotta pick up and a '90 parts truck and other parts trucks I have on the hook, I may swap some stuff around - especially if I can change gear ratios without a whole lotta $$$ involved. I'd be set if I were on 31s, 32s, or 33s with at least 4.10s if not 4.56s with a little bit of beef added in all the right places and some lockers Ah, well... can't wait to possibly hit up BMRA when I get home. Been in contact with TMTC and TX4WD and other 'local' organizations in TX. Might be workin' an invite out for T4W to come visit BMRA for a run.... Still tossing around plans to come out that way for one or two (or more) of the upcoming events out that way as well. Dave G

If I were to do one, it'd be one that isn't normally 'sold in stores'. I won't go over a 1" body lift if I do one, and I'd only do a 2" if I absolutely had to. It's usually when you get to 3" that it really gets 'entertaining' Dave G

Yea i love the 1" bl but all it is is poly body mounts that are an inch taller. The jeep felt very unsafe with 8" lift and no sway bar or trac bars

Yeah, a 'one-piece' option where you're not using your stock mounts with lift pucks to do the lifting isn't as bad. That's where a lot of the problem with 2- and 3-inch body lifts comes about... well, other than all the other stuff you have to do to make the vehicle still drivable.
