You guys would run me out of there quickly. My first act would be ridding Bay Circle of those menacing golf carts that freqently make the loop.
Craig, you are right that some bracing would be better. But I did put the bikes up there, it isn't much weight at all and seemed to be fine. But I haven't been on a 100 mile trip yet either. I considered a brace, but I was so frustrated with my welding. Some days it's on, some days I can't get it right.

The Rubicon is looking great, Keith! Can't wait to wheel with ya. Bring your stuff down here, you can give me pointers on running up this new engine and I'll help you out with the welding..

Maybe it isn't a build up piece for the Jeep, but I still thought this was cool enough to share. Every year Rokmen takes orders for these for a couple weeks at Christmas time. They laser cut these and you pick from 4 designs. I gave it to my neighbor and he just got done powder coating it today. He's getting really good at this. I got one for Ethan too with a steam engine, but he's powder coating it right now. It can take him a couple days depending on how many colors he uses and if his wife has him doing stuff.

Got em on today, learned a few things about beadlocks. First time I ever mounted a tire on a beadlock wheel so there was a learning curve for me. After I figured out the first one, the rest were easy. The hard part is torquing 96 bolts, you have to go over them about 4-5 times before they are all even. I fought with the first one for about two hours. I could not get the bead of the tire to fit over the lip of the wheel that is there to keep the tire centered. This is one of the reasons I bought the wheels, only to get aggravated with the feature. Then I got smart and got the knife out and trimmed the bead of the tire. If you look you'll see it is beveled, I had to square it up, then viola. The other 3 were done within an hour. The beadlock ring has a nice knurl machined on the inside lip. And on the Jeep. The shiny is blinding me. I need to get these dirty and corroded quickly. Things I learned: If you forget to install a valve stem and don't realize it until you've torqued all the ring bolts down, you might yell "Golly!" really loud, which will attract the attention of your neighbors. Don't fight it for two hours, if it doesn't go on, figure it out. Make sure your torque wrench is in good condition, or you'll be stopping in the middle for a run to Sears/Lowes. My back will be sore for a few days.....

I thought about some paint, but decided against it for now. Maybe next time the tires come off I'll have my neighbor powder coat them for me and I'll leave the ring polished. First I'm going to see if they hold up the use I intend to inflict upon them. If it looks good, I'll make them black.

The machined "X" pattern is pretty cool... Don't let them convince you that it's a knurl... I also agree tha they are "kinda" Blingy BUT... for a blingy rim that do look pretty D@mb sweet... How will they hold up against the rocks... What are you looking to air down to?

Wow and people used to make fun of all my BLING.
I have to admit Keith i really like your new rims now go get some Iroks and make them look really good.
Hey you got a close up of the ring with the bolts installed? I want to see how recessed the bolt heads are. Your close up right now has to much shine so you cant really tell.

Heeheee, I don't know what they actually call those machined X's, I just made up the knurl part cause I don't know what else to call it. I hope they hold up to the rocks, that's why I bought them. For the radials on it, I'll probably go to 8-9 psi and see what happens. Someday I'll have some Q78s or Krawlers or something and can try lower. Tony, I'll see about getting some pics, but the bolt heads are half recessed. Half the thickness of the heads are sticking out, the other half is recessed. Better than nothing I guess. I have to get them to Joe for a balance, I thought I could get away with no balancing but tonight it was obvious I need some balance.

Keith. If the bling is hurting your eyes to much. May I recommend a red clay trail/h2o hole, like the mud we came out of on the Wheelin 09, allow to dry one day and I guarantee the shine will be knocked off. I think they look good. And you aint pimpin unless u blingin

If you like them maybe we can work something out... more or less, I'll need 4 equally good replacements... Alright... so here are the pics... the rear tires have some of the inner lugs chewed.... Here you can see the inner lugs have been chewed... it's not so bad on the passenger side...
