Paul the gen right kit looks better IMO. Not to mention you can bash a tree with it and it wont fold like a pretzel. Oh and Craig LCG Unlimited Specs:06’ Rubicon LWB with AEV Highline, 37” KM2, 5.13 gears, 3”nth lift, TT, trans, engine skids, Stinger, OME LT Shocks, Warn - lights and Powerplant, Big Daddy - Bumpers & Rockers Tony

The Red LJ looks like it's got short arm (front anyway).
I'd love to go low lift and high-line hood, but I don't think the stock axles could stand up to anything more than 35s. (also I hope to keep the 4.10s)
As I'm researching, it seems a 1" bodylift, and 3.5 or 4" long arm should clear 35s just fine without the high hood. Just about everywhere I've looked the two companies that receive high praise are Clayton and Poly Performance (Full Traction comes up a bit after that).
I figure first step will be body lift and motor mounts.
If I go Clayton's, the belly skid isn't an integral part of the lift, so I can do that any time. My Jeep had some nice bolt on rocker protection, but I want to trade them out for the 3/16ths 'L' with hoop for increased protection and clearance at some point. I do want to go with tube fenders and full rear corners. I also want to go with a good cross over steering upgrade. These things I can do independent of the lift.
Lift and tires are the big step. The others I can do as I have time and $$$. Help me Find buyers for my trailer, Burban, and winch.

That AEV highline is really nice....and really expensive! AEV does make some great stuff but I really think they cater a lot of their stuff to the "I got more money than I know what to do with crowd" or the "I bought a Harley, now I am as cool as Bad-A$$ biker crowd."
That being said the products they provide are very finished. They as a company at one point were very close in being a OEM supplier for the Jeep brand or something to that effect, and are probably the most notable in the Jeep V8 Hemi conversion crowd. They make real good stuff, but are really proud of it!
I agree, I really like the Gen-right setup, a little more wallet friendly, but more fab involved. I also like something that could take a hit vice crumbling a $2000 hood/fender setup...

Will I couldn't agree more, no way would I fork over the money for the AEV highline fenders that aren't any stronger than the originals. But that's just my preference, I guess there are those that want to keep the original look. I certainly wouldn't buy their hood either, when I have a perfectly good sawzall, jigsaw, and cut-off wheel that will take care of the hood for free. That Gen-Right stuff is very attractive right now for the high line fenders. You can stick with the same company for the rear corners and the rockers, or go with Rokmen for those. Adam, you need to start a build up thread, this will be interesting to see where you take it.

Hey Adam, I was talking with Joe at Starr today, he has some goodies for your TJ if you are interested. Has a pretty stout front bumper with shackle mounts and a winch guard (or does yours already have bumpers? can't remember). He also has a Gen-Right fuel tank that is really sweet. It's not as deep so more room between it and the axle, but has the same capacity and it's own beefy skid. I got the picture he was wanting to get rid of this stuff pretty quickly, hint hint. It's talking all my self control not to snatch that fuel tank up myself.

Not sure where you are with your build, but I'll offer that I have a set of used 4 inch Skyjacker springs from a TJ. They have some life left in them and could buy some time until something mo-better is desired.

Keith that is the same type skid i have on the YJ. If you look at the gen right site you can find the real price and see how much of a deal joe is cutting you.
One of genrights sweets pieces they recently released is there 31 gal replacement tank. Goes in the stock location with there super beefy skid.

It looks like Bobby Long is selling TJ Rubicon axle longfields .... sweeet.
Fromme - I'd like to have a look at your intake, if you don't mind.
I hope to show off the LJ to everyone tomorrow.

Adam, Did you see those over on ROF? They do look nice and sound like they are working good for the "test subjects" Like Keith and I, if we hadn't already did the Alloy USA 30 spline fronts I would be all over those! (Keiths axles are super bad-arse due to the CTM's joints as well!)

I saw the longfields on Pirates of the Rubicon. My interest is peaked, but it'll have to wait till after the lift at least.

Tony,
I like the idea. I bet I could get real close to that, but for less $$ ...

They are only using a 2 inch lift. However i am sure the new brackets they installed are higher than stock but, shouldn't be that much.
Go for it and get that thing done.
