In case you are interested in its build. I didn't build this one, I'm just going to drive it and improve it a bit: fuel inj. 5.0, all new 3/8 inc. fuel lines, with stainless steel braided hoses and Aero Quip fittings. GTp 40 heads, long tube headers Red Neck ram assist power stearing with saginaw pump NP 435 36in. super swamper tslsx's on 15x10 inc. black steal wheels. Dana 44 front, lock right, 456 gears, warn shafts and disc brakes Big bearing 9" rear, spool, mosier 31 spline axles, 456 gears Cage long arms with deaver springs and cage shocks 5" lift WH rock sliders with tube work WH war flares BC broncoes after market rear tank Interior is line Xed stock seats My plan is to have fun with it. First things are to add power brakes, a roll cage, route a tube from the Mojave heater to the defroster diffuser or find a factory heater box and reinstall, and redo the exhaust. From there I'd like to find a good winch, a gas tank skid, and twin sick the D20. But it's good as is. Pics from previous owner, I'll get my own eventually. I really, really like this one.

I know I'm not Dave, but I've never been afraid to offer up my opinion.
My 'puter won't show the video clip, but from the pictures and description I can see it doesn't give me the warm and fuzzy that I'd want for the piece of gear that's gonna keep me and any passengers alive if I flop. The 1/8" pieces and really weird single center A pillar don't inspire trust. My opinion - keep looking.
I want to ensure you make good choices so that when you sell it to me, its just how I want it. ;D

Call eddie and part with a little cash to get a high quality cage. Support the local guy.

I'm looking at all those options too and waiting to hear from Eddie. Adam, in the video they rolled an EB with that cage down a hill 3 different times with multiple rolls each time. That cage held up even with the single A pillar. I liked that idea because it makes entry and exit easy. Remember this ain't a buggy, I'm not going to be purposely flopping it on a daily basis.

I got the video to load - it looks like the windshield frame bends right into the drivers face area. The cage does appear to hold up well.

Check this- www.rcpfa.com/showthread.php?t=776Tell Chris you want just the outer hoops (front to back or A-C pillars). He's got the design on CAD I believe. Have him bend that up then you can finish it out. You should be able to use all straight pieces for the rest. Shmooze Eddie for his next DOM order mebbe he'll order you some or get Chris P. to. Eddie could bend up the hoops as well I would think, I mention Chris because he's got it on the computer. I wish I had done this design because when you lean over it won't catch on trees. Plus it would have cost me less. I was trying to get my junk done so I ordered a basic cage and finished it out as per Chris P. Thanks Chris for helping with that. Oh and if you want I will finish it out for you. ;D

Talk about overkill! I like it, except for the X behind the front seats. Need to get passengers in the back. Did he say how much? Did Chris built it?

Well, for a one ton EB I felt 2" x1/8th wall dom was about right. From the people I researched designs with (and they have been known to flip a buggy or two) a cage really needs an "X" incorporated into it to keep from racking over on a hard side hit. Since I drive my junk at speed on the hiway with kids in the back I decided to carry that into the rear hoop as well. Need to order the harness though. Alex is still in his kiddie 5-point harness ie booster seat. I actually ordered a basic family cage from Complete Offroad (Extreme Fabrication) and finished it out. I don't think it would be much at all for just the outer hoops. It's seriously stupid easy after that. I've got a good drill press and hole saw that I used on mine. Notches like a champ!

Let me know what Diameter tube you get. I already got Bendtech Pro and will have a bender when I get back. I'm looking at dies right now and probably will get 3 or 4. 1.5 and 1.75 are a must. But others could be available if you end up needing to use them.

I believe it goes for around $1500- 1800. 1.75x .120 dom. Been awhile since I got that quote might want to re-check that... Get a good cage Keith. I know you you're going to be tailing/leading me just like you did Billy ie; think the off camber part of Sphincter heh heh. One false move and everyone would have been on the lid...

I like having the smooth outside edge, and if you could get the bent A-C pillars from Chris I think we could design / fab a nice cage using just straight pieces to finish it off (we'd just need to fish-mouth, fab mounting plates, and weld). I don't like giving up the room around my feet and making it hard to get in and out so I went through the dash. I think the B pillar needs to be braced side to side, but that can be done in many ways to accommodate back seat passengers. We'll bring paper and pencils to Crozet and make plans over beers this weekend. ;D Adam

Well I found the issue with the engine: You can see the number 6 cylinder is all wet and where the leak was. I've been through this before and I'm not happy about it, but at least I'm not chasing around other things anymore. I've blown them before, but not on a N/A engine. This one I inherited, when I bought it the timing was jacked up so high it was detonating bad at 3000 rpm and up. So I knew something was wrong and I'd have to work at it. Was hoping he just didn't know how to set timing, but apparently he ran it long enough to do damage. At least the cylinder walls and everything else look ok. I might have it back together tonight if I can find all the gaskets I need. Everything is all gummed up in the valley to, this sucks. I've only seen that one other time, not sure what causes it though. These are 93 Cobra heads, my neighbor has an Explorer intake sitting in the garage that I think I'll throw on there and find him another one someday. I'll be in the garage the rest of the day and night if anyone (Adam) wants to stop by. I'm off to get some gaskets now.
