I think that Scott should let Lyle (retiree) borrow his dually for a week and see what kind of mileage he can get with it. Just in case Scott likes his right foot more than Lyle. ;D

Just in case Scott likes his right foot more than Lyle. ;D Well, it might be not so much right foot as location. Living in Windsor, if I go anywhere, I'm up to 55 mph speed limits within 2 miles (max) of leaving the driveway. For Scott, I suspect a much greater percentage of his driving is stop and go, city driving. Even at that, though, the mileage difference just seems too great. And Craig... what was that "retiree" crack? I still enjoy rolling down the windows and sticking my foot in it just to hear the turbo whine!

No everything is stock. The computer fix just came out I just have to find the time and weather to turn it in to the dealer. I'll be driving the jeep no top or doors! They have to fix the hood on it this time too, since they dented and scratched it! I know everyone seems to get decent mileage but me. Thanks for the info Lyle, I'll bring it up at the dealer next week. Hey Scott, Just out of curiousity, which Chevy store are you dealing with over there? Mine came from Casey. Kind of a long haul for me, but they had the truck I wanted, and I got some free oil changes and inspections out of them, so that makes it worth crossing the JR Bridge.

Don't get me wrong Craig I'll put it to the floor if it needs to be there! However following Eddie with his worn-out Blue Whale of a pick-up truck, towing Big Lime at 50 mph uphill and 65mph down, I should be netting more than 2 to 3 mph better than him. He's got a worn out Chevy 350 motor with a partially plugged Cat. Shoot we didn't get past 70 mph down hill coming back and he got 9.5 or so to 10 and I got 11.9. Yes Lyle is right about a lot of in town driving, but these mpg readings are taken when I'm trying to get the fuel mileage out of the darn thing and I'm filling up right before I leave town! When I towed Big Lime up to the Glouster Mud bogs at 75-80+ with a butt load of in town driving, I only got 9.8 mpg. My Dodge never got lower than 16 towing 8,000. I hope the Chevy dealer figures something out!

You guys are silly. This is a simple matter of physics (or one of those other classes I never took).
Scott has 6 tires, Lyle has 4. 6 divided by 4 = 1.5 Lyle gets 15 mpg. Scott gets 12.6 mpg
12.6 mpg x 1.5 (tire difference) = 18.9 mpg
Scott is acually getting better mileage than "Retiree Lyle and the Heavy Foot" (Hey, that sounds like a good name for a country band) ;D

What is the difference between a 2500 and a 2500HD does the HD really want to be a 3500? Or is it just trying to differentiate it's self from the Z-71 1500? So I guess my question is did Eddie give into peer pressure and by a new Duramax 2500 truck?

Actually, I just wanted something that would pull the trailer and still be able to find a parking stall at the mall. Stumbled onto the 04 2500HD for a decent price so I couldn't pass it up..
