Hydro steer is the way to go for a big tired trail rig. I absolutely love it. However, the system needs to be matched. The steering valve (orbital valve) needs to match the steering ram so you end up with the correct amount of steering wheel turns lock to lock. Average lock to lock is what?.. 3.5-4.5 turns or so? $350 is a good price if everything works and is matched. Hit Pirate's Tech section. Bellavista did an awesome writeup on hydraulic steering. I read that article like 5 times before I dropped the coin ($1200) for my PSC system.

yours is a full hydro... I'm just looking at the hydro assist steering... Like I said everything is included except stock pump... (I guess I have to send my pump in and they'll send me everything back)... I have to pay shipping both ways!!!.. So, I guess it'll be worth it huh? Especially seeing that I'm trying to save $$$

Hydro assist is good to have for a trail and street truck. I put that on the M715 and it steers the 42's great on trail and street, got rid of the Chevy power steering pump squeal too. The kit I got included the hoses, fittings, weld on mounts for the axle and tie rod, and the cyl. I drilled and tapped the stock box for the fittings and plumbed it using the pump. No problems yet.
Looks good Eddy. When is Scott's going to get done? Thanks for the bungs.
