The flex lite fan comes with some nice aluminium brackets that allow it to mount just like the stock fan shroud does it is a nice piece. features bolt in brackets, adjustable thermostat, manual override terminal , and it also has a hook up for the a/c / oba. AH, ok, now I remember. I thought I had remembered it was a direct bolt-in - although, I personally don't like the thermal bulb against the radiator style temp control they normally come with - I would prefer one that takes readings straight from the engine coolant jacket. Brandy's grandfather passed away this morning around 1am so now we move forward he is in a better place. I personally wasn't all that close to him but my kids were and that was the hardest part was 1. telling them that he was ill and not gonna make it and 2. Telling them this morning that he had died. It hurts me when my kids hurt and any of you who have kids know what I am talking about. Sorry to hear of the loss, but he is in a better place and is no longer in pain. I know how difficult it is to realize that at the time, but hopefully the kids will heal and move forward and remember all the good stuff. I've been on both ends of that in my lifetime, more than I've ever cared to - and have been waiting on a dreaded call or e-mail since 1993, but my Dad has been a very tenacious old coot and won't let his medical condition get the best of him until he's good and ready, seems like. That's one of the more difficult facets of being so far away, but it's the choice I've made having this career - it sucks, but everyone has been understanding, thankfully. Again, will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers and hope the mourning and healing process goes well. Dave G

Took my suggestion huh?
That's awesome! Forget just another flatbed! Those are way too plain, heavy, and over-done!
That's gonna look sick when you're done..

I wasn't sure what to make of your project at first Bryan, but now that it's coming along that looks pretty freakin sweet. Looks like everything is going to work out great.

Bryan -
You have an awesome mind. That took a lot of engineering ability. It is going to be a great looking rig when you are finished!

it is starting to come together now I have the whole out side of the bed welded just need to smooth out the welds and then I can bondo and prep for paint. I was off by a descent amount on the inside of the bed but the part that counts looks good. here is what I got done today.

The Bronco/Ranger is looking great. I'm really impressed by what you have done. The pictures make it look a little tail high - is that an optical illusion? I can't wait to see it out on the trail.

It does sit about 4-5 inches high in the rear I am waiting till I get all the work done in the rear to see if the added weight is gonna drop it then I am gonna either remove a leaf from the packs or swap in some shorter springs. i figure by the time I get the weight on the rear I should only need to drop it about 3 inches

That's looking good! You can haul around everybody's Jeep spares, that'll weigh down the back end.

I personally like the raked stance he has. Plus when you get the camper hitched up to the back it will be traveling level.

Those 34's are looking kinda small now. Do you need some help finding some 36's?

Coming along good Bryan! The rock rails where you had them look right, if you can use them as a step in that spot they should protect the body. I have the Flex-lite fan. 2600 cfm or around that, I forget. They sent it with through-the-fan hardware so I made my own brackets, it's the proper way to mount, as you did, too. I don't have alot of hours on it. I'll see what happens when it gets abused in the mud. Clutch fans are way better than flex fans, I think. A clutch fan will disengage as the clutch cools and unlocks, reducing the chance of it getting into the rad. My $.02. Rock on...

yesterday me and jimmy pulled the bed off and stuck it in the garage so I can finish up the rear corners and the inside of the bed. Today my shocks came in but one of them was missing the bushings so I only got the fronts in. I also pulled the stock muffler and tail pile and installed the cherry bomb (man does it sound sweet). I just had to take it for a spin to see if I had any driveline vibration from the onewyr chopped driveshaft. at 35mph seems to be no vibration other than the typical Ltb flat spots . But any ways I drove it down the road to my inlaws to show them that the beast does move but no one was there so on the way home I decided I was gonna see if I could fit my truck through the entrance to the quad trail next to my house, lets just say the trail is a bit wider now. It was nice to drive the ole' girl. Oh by the way me and brandy will be having a baby in the next week or so <----- WHAT!!!!!!!!! you got that right. She is 8 1/2 month pregnant
