I figure I have 3 days before I have to take it to Ed's or I'll get my nice HOA letter. When they deliver the letter, tell them the "trailer" isn't staying, and that you're going to need help pulling the tires off of your son's new playset. Did you feel some bounching in the tail end pulling it empty? I feel that in mine...almost like the back is acting like a diving board or something. Good purchase! BTW, brakes are over rated, you only need them part of the time when you're driving.

By the way, suppose you be needing a state inspection. I go to Thompson Trailer on Military Highway. He's a semi trailer repair place but will do bigger trailer inspections. Interestingly, Portsmouth Trailer wouldn't do mine a few years back, I believe their reason was they didn't have a garage bay long enough. Anyway, the guys at Thompson have never let me down (except the one year I had a marker light out, ha).

Did you feel some bounching in the tail end pulling it empty? No, not really. It'd just bounce 1 or 2 times on the bigger bumps, like on the bridge expansion joints. What I noticed was some side to side rocking at the front corners. I guess because it's so long and only one point on the front? Fran, thanks. I got a guy, I think he'll inspect it for me. If not, I'll take it to your place.

I just know where it is for my once a year visit. Oh, and it's also a great place to by chain rachets, binders, and any standard light/signal parts. Fran

Welp, all done for the day. Undoing someone else' wiring hack job is a nightmare. Those Carolina boys really are something, and they must prefer not to have trailer brakes because this one didn't even have the brake + wire hooked up at the 7 pin harness. The trailer has a nice sealed harness, but halfway down someone just decided it would be fun to change colors, and put green to white, black to yellow, etc. Fearing the worst I got it all back to the common standard and low and behold the brakes actually work. Still need to take the drums off and inspect everything and repack the bearings. Used trailers suck.

Quit your whining. If you didn't have something to work on you wouldn't be happy. So what ya getting yourself into after you finish the trailer? ? Tony (stirring the pot for ya)

What you'all don't know is Keith is working hard to have his trailer done by the weekend so he can come pick me up and we're going wheeling!! But, first he has to convice the SPD that wheeling is more fun than working.!! Right Keith ? ;D

If I do, I'll hit the scales there at 460/58. Not sure I want to know.

Just an FYI, they won't let you drop the trailer on the scale. You'll have to get the whole rig weighed, drop the trailer in the parking lot, then run the truck back over the scale. Subtract. ;D

Or just weigh the truck by itself on the way back?

Make sure you clear that with the lady at the register, she may want another $6!
