Just talked to Jay (Ruffrider) who is stuck (on the hiway not in the mud!) in Charlotte, N.C. with a grenaded Dana 35 and NP231 T-case. Seems the 35 went first (he's going to pull the cover off and inspect the damage), I was talking to him on the phone and then the t-case went out. Anybody know of any places that would have 35 parts and t-case in that area? 544-6367 is his cell. If you have any helpful info give him a shout or call me at 472-5944 as well. Anybody got these parts?
Mods- can we move this to Build Up? Parts are coming in heh heh. ;D

Dave, is he going to do all that work in the field or does he need to be picked up and brought back? Let me know what needs to be done. 353-7282

Any clues yet on what caused the failures?

Think this has anything to do with that noise you were hearing back during the conway/crozet/oakridge run in august Jay?

I would bet that the hill climb at Conway and CJ5 hill were the factors that stressed whatever broke in the D35. Getting burnouts on rock generally stresses whatever is weakest. I'm pulling the covers as soon as Norm gets over here with it tonight. I'll take pics of whatever falls out...
