i live in a neighborhood with all old people and they walk around at 6am looking for things to report. Leave them lots of things to report, and make sure they're all moved by 6:20 when they've called the cops. They'll eventually get a good for filing too many false reports and irritating the department. ;D

Okay.. Big Lime is officially stripped down. Pulled both axles and all the rest of the gauges, wiring...etc. that I need. Was able to shoot both axles down with degreaser and mock them into place. Started on the rear link suspension first as I was able to reuse the lower link mounts. I'm gonna end up shortening the upper link a couple inches but no big deal. For the front, I'm going to shove the front axle 3 inches farther forward than planned. That will allow the front shaft to fit without any tranny pan interference at full compression. Looks like the final wheelbase will be right around 111"-112" long. Clearance at the belly skid should be right around 26"-27". Big Lime's carcass... Axles under the buggy..

With all that clearance, do I smell the stank of some 54's?

I watched a YJ on those big 54s up at Crozet. They were just too big. So hard they don't even flex with zero psi in them. I could see stepping up to maybe 44s after I wear out the 42s. I really think I'm close to the setup that I've envisioned for a long time. Hope to get a few years of use out of this rig. It would be nice to get this finished so I can do some projects around the house.

"As for the remnants of Big Lime, someone already claimed the carcass. I'm gonna make one or two more runs then strip the Jeep." -- from one of Eddie's previous posts.

Nice of you to point that out "speedo"... It doesn't hurt to ask a question a few times just in-case something doesn't work-out down the line... I'm sure you're familiar with "Ones hesitation is another mans gain!" ;D
